BIO

Paco Higdon was brought into this world as a very normal boy in Detroit, Michigan. However, as he grew up listening to quirky musical artists like “Weird Al” Yankovic and They Might Be Giants, his creative mind began to warp into something far less conventional. While attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, he began to combine the headier elements of his musical education with his unabashed sense of humor. The result was Here To Party- a complex, quirky rock album he meticulously composed down to the last drum fill (and hand fart, but more on that later).

After graduating, Paco returned to Detroit to record his second album, Sophomore Slump. Since the album’s release, Paco has been bringing his unique live show to venues all over The Mitten, backed by and performing alongside Michigan’s finest and most eclectic talent.

No two people have ever defined Paco’s music the same way, but he is most often compared to “Weird Al” Yankovic, Frank Zappa, and The Barenaked Ladies. Each song is expertly crafted while never taking itself too seriously, featuring unusual instrumentation (clown horns, beer bottles, aforementioned hand farts) and clever lyrics that blur the line between sarcastic and sincere. Combining complex musical arrangements, sharp wit, and a whimsical blend of styles, Paco is putting the “art” back in “party”.
